For the next phase, we wanted to improve the performance of your motorcycle around the track. To do this, we change the RG3 suspension fork and shock, Jett Tuning the ECU again and have had a number of Michelin Power 2CT tires a flash. That set up Staring to win the championship if he finished on Sunday, regardless of Maxwell's result. Even if Staring failed to finish, Maxwell had to win or take second to steal the title.

Ducati Motologic Racing's Jamie Stauffer led momentarily before Team Suzuki's Josh Waters took over until the third of 16 laps, when Maxwell went to the front. Once in the lead he streamed away to his fourth victory of the year. Waters finished second and Stauffer third.

Staring rode conservatively in the wet conditions to finish eighth and write his name into the Australian road racing record books. The 23-year-old is the only rider to have won the 125GP, Supersport and Superbike titles.

"I feel funny about it because that last race went so terribly. I couldn't see a thing out there and it was a real battle to finish," Staring said. "I couldn't help but think about the championship in today's race, I told myself I'd race to my own agenda, but there were people passing me left, right and center a,nd it was certainly on my mind.

"I'm so glad to have raced this season with Honda and the Cougar Bourbon Honda team. We've had such a successful year and this championship has come down to the effort of so many people. This is a huge achievement for us and it will probably take a while to sink in.

"Thanks also to Wayne (Maxwell) and the other riders who have pushed me every step of the way."

Maxwell was gracious in defeat and admitted that a few errors earlier in the season cost him the chance to launch a real challenge today.

"We were a bit behind the eight ball this year and it probably did cost us the championship, but second is a great result," he said. "I'm a racer, I want to win every time, but that's the way it goes. I've had a great year with all the guys and my team has really gotten behind me. The only option for me today was to go for the win and let the rest take care of itself. Congratulations to Bryan (Staring), who absolutely deserves this championship; he's had a fantastic year."

Maxwell finished the 2010 season just 6.5 points shy of Staring after 6 rounds and a total of 12 races.

Saturday's winner, Valvoline Superbike Team rider Glenn Allerton (Honda), was third today, giving him the overall weekend victory.

Allerton rounds out a Honda 1-2- 3 in the championship.

Racer's Edge Suzuki rider Scott Charlton was the first GSX-R1000 home in 2010, building a consistent campaign to finish a credible 4th.

Ducati Motologic Racing's Jamie Stauffer rounds out the overall top 5 on the 1198R after an up-and-down season aboard an all-new bike.

Team Suzuki's Troy Herfoss added a victory on Sunday to his Saturday race win, when he'd clinched the Insure My Ride Australian Supersport Championship.

Now the former AMA Supermoto champion wants to move to the Superbike class in 2011.

"My second season in Supersport has been close to perfect aboard the GSX-R600, it's all panned out how I had planned and now I am hoping to get the chance to get on a Superbike and keep chasing my dream," Herfoss said. "The Australian championship is very competitive and I really want to get a season or two behind me on a 1000cc machine before I look towards a ride overseas."

Viking Group Australian Superbike Championship, Round 7 - Symmons Plains, Race 2

1. He finished ninth on a Yamaha. Fast forward 16-plus years and Edwards was back at the controls of another 600, this one the Honda-powered Tech 3 Moto2 machine of his Monster Yamaha Tech 3 junior team.

Edwards was asked by the team to use his considerable technical expertise to sort out a baseline for the team's homegrown Moto2 bike. The team is one of the few which builds its own chassis, which means only the team's two riders assist in the development. Tech 3 had limited results this year, with Yukio Takahashi winning in Barcelona, while Raffaele de Rosa was less successful. With Edwards' Monday free-he'll test the 2011 Yamaha YZF-M1 on Tuesday and Wednesday-and the team having signed two new riders, Bradley Smith and Mike Di Meglio, the team called on the Texan to get them off to a quick start.

Suzuki GSX-R750 superbike available for £1 deposit

Cheap suzuki GSX-R750 superbike .If you've got a quid to spare, you can ride away on a spanking new Suzuki GSX-R750 superbike. Maxime Berger is on the verge of making his long-awaited World Superbike Championship debut in 2011 as he nears a deal with the Supersonic Ducati team.

The Frenchman has raced in the Superstock 1000 series for the last three seasons under the Ten Kate Junior banner, but despite proving a consistent front runner he was unable to seal the title during that time.

Nonetheless, having finished runner-up for the second time in 2010, Berger is tipped to follow in the footsteps of runaway champion Ayrton Badovini by moving up to World Superbikes with the privateer Supersonic Racing outfit.

Taking the place of Luca Scassa, who has joined Triumph in the World Supersport series, Berger will be the team’s only rider in 2011, quashing rumours that he would be joined by BMW exile Ruben Xaus in an expanded effort.

"I can reveal that we're going to sign Maxime Berger, we just need to sort out a few details,” said Danilo Soncini. “I am very happy with this two-year agreement because the Frenchman is a sort of protégé of mine and our aim with him is to score our first podium in World Superbike.”

Now the third confirmed team to run a privateer Ducati in the absence of the factory effort, Soncini is confident of building on the promise shown by his fledgling team, which showed continual improvements during the 2010 season in the hands of Scassa.

Australian Superbike Championship Concludes This Coming Weekend At Symmons Plains Raceway

Australian Superbike Championship Concludes This Coming Weekend At Symmons Plains Raceway

ASBK FINALE AT SYMMONS PLAINS

8 November 2010 – Just one more round for the season! The transporter has made its journey across Bass Strait and the Ducati Motologic Racing Team are soon to follow as they ready themselves for the final round of the ASBK season at Symmons Plains Raceway on Nov 12th-14th.

The team enjoyed terrific success at the 2010 MotoGP at Phillip Island last month with #27 Jamie Stauffer taking 1st place in the Superbike class for the event and #33 Jordan Burgess returning to his top 10 form even in the face of a recent surgery.

Can the Ducati Motologic team take it to the limit just one more time this season? Round 7 will again be held in conjunction with the V8 Supercars and both riders are looking to finish the season on a high.

There are a number of strong contenders taking to the 2.4km circuit this weekend and Stauffer is most definitely one of them.

#27 Jamie Stauffer: “I think we have a good chance to take the final round this weekend although the field is very strong. The Ducati 1198 is working really well now, we’ve found a good overall balance and I am confident going into this weekend. We are back on the Dunlop control tyre which I’ve never had any problems with so it’s all looking good. I had a great weekend at Phillip Island for the MotoGP so I’ll just be trying to keep that momentum going for this round at Symmons Plains.”

The team owner and manager, Paul Free is simply keen to put the Ducatis back on the track after success at Phillip Island.

Paul Free: “I’m really looking forward to the last round with the V8s. Jordy’s foot has healed well after his surgery so he should be able to perform at his best for the final round. First and foremost, for any self-respecting cruiser aficionado in the US of A to swing his/her leg over the bike, it needs to be super low. Ironically, Americans are quite tall on average, but that’s another matter altogether.

The Stryker will satisfy most, with a seat height of a mere 26.4 inches and an obese 210-series rear piece of rubber. A raked front end rolls on 21 inch wheels, shrouded with real steel fenders, no less. The 1304cc V-twin sports fuel injection and dual counterbalancers that should do a lot to make it butter smooth.

Now, unlike most home-made shed jobs, the Stryker promises to be a pretty competent handler so that you don’t need to take a U-turn the moment the twisties arrive. A relatively fast, custom styled, agile and refined cruiser – now what will they think of next?

Kinetic Stryker - Styke Force

More power bikes ready to vroom into India

MAXimum impact

YZF-R1 India bound!

Auto Expo 2010 : Yamaha's line-up

Look twice

Yamaha may resurrect RX 100 in 4-stroke!

Yamaha’s ground-breaking 1200cc off-roader – the Super Tenere

Yamaha launches YBR 110

AMA Superbike: Blake Young at NJMP

<img style="float:left; He is currently the leading rookie and the top satellite rider, lying seventh in the championship.

"We're delighted that Ben will join the Factory Team for next season," said Lin Jarvis, Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing. "Ben has shown great promise in his first ten MotoGP races. He has learnt rapidly and recorded strong results, including a well-deserved podium finish at Silverstone - impressive for someone in their first full season.

"We believe that Ben will be a future title contender and that he will be a good fit with our team. His mission next year will be to continue learning, consistently challenge for podium places and try to win some races. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Herve Poncharal and the Tech 3 Team for taking care of Ben this season and for giving him such good training for the years ahead. I hope that he will repay them by getting some more podium results in the second half of this season and helping them to secure top satellite team status at the end of this year."

Spies added "My first year in MotoGP has been a great learning curve and for that I have to thank Herve Poncharal, all the team at Tech 3 and especially my American mechanics who have stuck by me throughout this great journey so far. Having previously been to only four of the ten tracks to date, I have to be pleased with where I am and with having achieved my first podium so soon. I'm especially pleased that Yamaha have recognized the potential in me and given me the opportunity to step up to the Factory Team so early in my GP career. I believe that by working closely with the Yamaha staff and my mechanics we will be able to help develop the M1 and make the next step of challenging for regular podiums, followed by future championships."

Valentino Rossi In Ducati Profil

Valentino Rossi photo , was born February 16, 1979 in Urbino italia, he is an Italian professional motorcycle racer and multiple MotoGP World Champion. The riders who have gone through a motorcycle safety class are aware of these factors. In fact driving a motorcycle is quite different from driving a car. A bike offers very little protection to the rider compared to the other vehicles.

In a car or truck, the driver gets the safety of a big metal cage that offers some amount of protection from crash or external dangers. They also get the protection of a seatbelt. On the contrary, the Bike Riders have no such protection around them. The only protective elements for a bike rider are helmet and gloves.

Of course the helmet offers a fair amount of protection for the bikers head against collisions. It reduces the chance of serious brain injury after accidents in many cases. One can also wear the jackets to protect his body when driving the bikes. There are several kinds of jackets in the market and they provide different levels of protection. Armored jackets are the ones that offer a good amount of safety. They offer protection from hard hitting objects in the event of a crash.

Ducati roars away from World Superbike motorcycle racing

The Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati shocked the motorcycle racing world yesterday with a press release announcing they would be riding away from twenty-two years of World Superbike competition.

After having participated with a factory team in every edition of the World Superbike Championship since it began in 1988, winning 16 Manufacturers' world titles and 13 Riders' world titles along the way, Ducati said it ‘has decided to limit its participation to the supply of machines and support to private teams’.

"This decision is part of a specific strategy made by Ducati, the aim being to further increase technological content in production models that will arrive on the market in the coming years. In order to achieve this objective, the company's technical resources, until now engaged with the management of the factory Superbike team, will instead be dedicated to the development of the new generation of hypersport bikes, in both their homologated and Superbike race versions," declared Gabriele Del Torchio, President and CEO of Ducati.

But fans and experts look to the recent changes in the competition’s regulations to equalize the 1200cc twin-cylinder machine with the 1000cc four-cylinder machines as weighing heavily on the shocking decision.

‘Recently the Superbike World Championship, according to the current regulations, has been interpreted as moving more towards competition between prototypes rather than for bikes derived from production machines,’ the press release from Ducati reads, ‘This has led to an increase in costs, both for the manufacturers and the teams participating in the championship. This picture does not correlate with the current worldwide economic situation, which has made the securing of sponsorship even more difficult.’

Not surprisingly World Superbike Championship promoters Infront Motor Sports have expressed their ‘disappointment and surprise’ at Ducati’s decision to withdraw from the series due to disagreements over equalization.

Diplomatically, Infront CEO Paolo Flammini expressed frustrated that Ducati has taken the sudden decision to walk away.

“It must be mentioned that last year, without the presence of a phenomenal Ben Spies, the Ducati 1198 would have dominated the championship with Haga and Fabrizio,” Flammini notes, “and it is therefore difficult for us today to comprehend this decision, which of course we must respect.”

The news comes as the racing world learned more of Valentino Rossi’s decision to leave Yamaha and join Ducati in the MotoGP racing series.

Citing the need for a fresh start as well as the decision of Yamaha's Motogp chief Masao Furusawa to retire at the end of this season, Rossi recently confirmed he would be changing rides for the upcoming season.

"So it looks like for me here, the time is finished, you know? So I need a new adventure, some new experience, but especially a new motivation,” Rossi told the British newspaper, the Guardian, “So, I decided for Ducati."

Meanwhile Ducati will continue to supply machines to customer teams into 2011.

"I would like to thank Nori and Michel, and all of the riders that have contributed to the great history of Ducati in Superbike, but above all the Ducati employees; it is their hard work and professionalism that has allowed us to achieve such important results,” Gabriele Del Torchio, President and CEO of Ducati said in the statement.

Scoop – Yamaha and Toyota’s hybrid

It's Looks like Yamaha could pip Honda in making the world’s first hybrid motorcycle.Dying to be aware of every update on this topic in future? They ample these de facto branch customs-ready-made and upmarket-would address to consumers who capital the bling appropriate abroad afterwards the backbreaking work.

Now in its 11th year, the CVO agreement has succeeded above Willie G's wildest dreams. What started out as an FXR reboot with a few tweaks and added dollops of chrome in 1999 has exploded into a four bike caricature even with achievement upgrades, head-turning paintwork and top-shelf accession amenities. Rather than aloof a ancillary activity for Harley's artistic types, it has acquired into the Motor Company's advertise division. CVO, by the way, stands for Custom Vehicle Operations, and is H-D's centralized custom line.

As such, Harley additionally hopes to arm-twist a faculty of exclusivity by befitting CVO assembly runs low (though aftermost year's orders topped 10,000 units). The CVO architecture aggregation generally joins armament with H-D OE Engineering and Styling, so these bound copy models frequently become analysis beds for new account that can potentially go abounding OE on accepted assembly models the abutting season.

There's additionally no catechism aesthetics comedy a above allotment in anniversary model's final design, but if you're apprehensive whether that's account the CVOs' $25,000 + allurement price, the MoCo association would acknowledgment with an apparent "yes". They account that if you were to buy a banal Harley and personalize it with copious amounts of Screamin' Eagle bits, you wouldn't be able to body a CVO-like one for abutting to the aforementioned price.

Fortunately, this year's cream-of-the-crop Harleys accord you little acumen to doubtable you're accepting fleeced. To accumulate things fresh, there are two all-new CVO models for 2010. Aboriginal up is the admission of the CVO Street Glide, which replaces aftermost year's Screamin' Eagle Alley Glide. The minimalist bagger is a acceptable accession to the CVO group, accustomed its acceptance in the approved lineup. The abutting two new CVO machines accept been bottomward this alley before; authoritative the cut afresh for 2010 are the CVO Ultra Classic Electra Glide and the CVO Fat Bob, which both appeared as '09 CVOs, and adore abundance of absorption in the accepted calendar as well.

But everybody knows there's one archetypal at every CVO barrage that's destined to accession aggregate eyebrows: this year that bike is the FLSTSE CVO Convertible. The all-new model, which is based on the Softail platform, reintroduces the always-appealing abstraction of a apparatus able of adapting to a rider's adopted actualization aloof with the bandy of a few apparatus (Super-Glide T-Sport anyone?).

Powering the 2010 CVO quartet already afresh is Screamin' Eagle's Twin Cam 110 ability plant, which aboriginal fabricated its actualization in 2007. The 1,803 cc V-twin continues to be the largest-displacement branch agent Harley produces, with 4-inch artificial pistons cranking out as abundant as 115 lb-ft of torque at 3750 rpm (claimed).
